dc.description.abstract This research examined the extent of parental involvement at Peculiar International School and how it influences students' academic performance. The study specifically aimed to evaluate the degree of parental engagement both at home and within the school setting, analyze its effects on students’ academic achievement, identify challenges that hinder parental participation, and propose strategies to enhance such involvement. A quantitative research approach was employed, focusing on parents whose children are enrolled at Peculiar International School. From this population, a total of 203 parents were selected using stratified random sampling. Data collection was carried out through structured questionnaires, and the responses were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Findings revealed that parental involvement at home was moderate, while engagement in school-based activities was relatively higher. The study also established a significant positive correlation between parental involvement and students’ academic performance. Nonetheless, several barriers such as limited time, poor communication, and lack of awareness were identified as key impediments to effective parental engagement. The study concludes that parental involvement plays a critical role in enhancing students’ academic outcomes. Although school-based involvement is relatively encouraging, home-based engagement requires further improvement. The presence of barriers such as time constraints and ineffective communication reduces the full potential of parental support in children's education. The study recommended that Peculiar International School should strengthen its communication channels between the school and parents, introduce flexible scheduling for school activities to accommodate working parents, and provide regular sensitization programs to raise awareness of the importance of parental involvement. Additionally, the school should incorporate parents into its decision-making processes to foster stronger collaboration and shared responsibility for learners’ academic success. en_US
