This study explores contemporary dressing styles among the youth in Ghana, focusing&#13;
on their effects on national identity, cultural heritage, and educational beliefs. The&#13;
research aims to determine whether current trends result from Western influences,&#13;
media exposure, acculturation, or a broader paradigm shift. Key objectives include&#13;
identifying traditional Ghanaian dressing styles, evaluating the impact of modern&#13;
fashion on national identity and cultural values, understanding the motivations behind&#13;
contemporary youth fashion, and assessing the role of acculturation. Additionally, the&#13;
study seeks to identify ways to promote Ghanaian dress styles among the youth. A&#13;
qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews and&#13;
observations within an interpretive framework. The sample comprised 50 participants,&#13;
including tertiary students, lecturers, clothing vendors, beauticians, and fashion&#13;
designers. Data were collected, transcribed, coded, and analysed in alignment with the&#13;
study’s objectives, with strict adherence to ethical considerations, ensuring participant&#13;
confidentiality and anonymity. Findings revealed a significant diversity in youth&#13;
dressing styles, ranging from traditional to modern and hybrid forms. While traditional&#13;
garments like Kente cloth, smocks, and batakari remained valued, their use has become&#13;
largely confined to special occasions. These trends indicate a potential erosion of&#13;
national identity and cultural values, yet they also highlight the creativity and selfexpression&#13;
of Ghanaian youth. Opinions vary, with some viewing contemporary fashion&#13;
as progressive and adaptive, while others see it as a departure from traditional&#13;
aesthetics. The study concludes that the evolution of dressing practices among&#13;
Ghanaian youth is influenced by factors such as globalization, media influence and&#13;
individual choices. It recommends fostering awareness programs to balance&#13;
contemporary styles and traditional values, emphasizing the importance of preserving&#13;
cultural heritage while embracing modern ways. The findings underscore the need for&#13;
educational and cultural institutions to engage youth in discussions about merging&#13;
fashion trends with their identity and cultural preservation. Ultimately, this study&#13;
contributes to the discourse on culture and modernization by illuminating the changing&#13;
dressing practices in Ghana and their broader societal implications.

This study aims to investigate the psychological well-being of young adolescent girls&#13;
in early marriage within the East Mamprusi Municipality, Ghana, with implications&#13;
for counseling practices. The objectives of this study was to explore the factors&#13;
contributing to early marriage. The aimis to assess the impact of early marriage on&#13;
adolescent girls psychological well-being, and suggest the effectiveness of existing&#13;
support systems and strategies for improving counseling services for adolescent girls&#13;
in early marriages in the East Mamprusi Municipality. A mixed-methods approach&#13;
was employed by combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The&#13;
sample size consists of 100 adolescent girls, including 5 counselors. Stratified random&#13;
sampling and purposive sampling was used to ensure a representative sample.&#13;
Questionnaires were administered to the students to collect quantitative data, while&#13;
interviews were conducted with counselors to gather qualitative insights. Key findings&#13;
revealed that poverty was identified as the primary factor contributing to early&#13;
marriage, with 48% of respondents citing it as a major driver; the psychological wellbeing&#13;
of early-married girls shows high levels of stress and anxiety, with respondents&#13;
reporting a mean score of 4.1 for psychological distress; and counseling services are&#13;
seen as beneficial, but 80% of respondents felt that existing support systems are&#13;
insufficient to address the unique challenges faced by early-married adolescent girls.&#13;
The study founds that early marriages have significant negative psychological&#13;
impacts, hindering their emotional well-being, educational attainment, and future&#13;
aspirations of the adolescent girls. The study recommended strengthening counseling&#13;
services, improving access to education, and promoting legal frameworks to prevent&#13;
early marriages. It also suggested that community involvement and collaborative&#13;
efforts between schools, counselors, and local organizations was essential in&#13;
addressing the underlying causes of early marriages. The implications of the findings&#13;
suggest that interventions, including education, mental health support, and legal&#13;
reform, are crucial to mitigate the negative effects of early marriages and promote the&#13;
well-being and future prospects of young girls in the East Mamprusi Municality.&#13;
Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impacts of counseling&#13;
interventions and to expand the scope to other regions facing similar challenges.

This study employed an experimental research design to investigate the impact of&#13;
Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) on the academic outcomes of third-year Biology&#13;
students. Conducted at Assin Manso Senior High School and J.E. Atta Mills Senior&#13;
High School, the research specifically aimed to determine if digital pedagogical tools&#13;
could enhance students' comprehension and overall performance in the subject. A&#13;
purposive sample of 136 Form Three Biology students was selected for this&#13;
investigation. An initial pre-intervention assessment established a baseline, revealing&#13;
notably low levels among the students in three key areas: confidence in the subject,&#13;
active participation in lessons, and conceptual understanding. To address this, the&#13;
researcher implemented a targeted intervention using the Computer-Assisted&#13;
Instructional approach as the primary teaching strategy for subsequent lessons. Postintervention&#13;
data demonstrated a remarkable transformation in the classroom dynamics&#13;
and student proficiency. The integration of CAI led to a substantial increase in students'&#13;
willingness to participate in class activities and a marked boost in their self-confidence&#13;
when tackling biological concepts. Furthermore, their depth of understanding of the&#13;
subject matter showed significant improvement. Consequently, this positive shift&#13;
translated into a statistically significant enhancement in their academic performance as&#13;
measured by post-tests. Based on these compelling results, the study strongly advocates&#13;
for the systematic integration of interactive digital methodologies into standard science&#13;
curricula. It is recommended that educators leverage technology to create more&#13;
engaging and effective learning environments. Additionally, teachers should be&#13;
encouraged to facilitate computer-mediated collaborative learning activities to further&#13;
foster peer-to-peer engagement and solidify knowledge acquisition.

This study examines the relationship between human rights principles and the postarrest&#13;
treatment of suspects in the Kasoa Central East Police Command in Ghana. The&#13;
post-arrest phase is a legally and ethically sensitive stage of the criminal justice process,&#13;
where protections for dignity, due process, and freedom from abuse are most vulnerable&#13;
to infringement. Although Ghana’s constitutional framework and international treaty&#13;
obligations provide clear safeguards, concerns persist about the consistency of their&#13;
operational implementation at the command level. Adopting a qualitative case study&#13;
design within an interpretivist paradigm, the study generated in-depth insights into postarrest&#13;
practices and lived custodial experiences. Data were collected through purposive&#13;
sampling of twelve (12) participants, comprising police officers and suspects. Semistructured&#13;
interviews, supported by observations and document review, were analyzed&#13;
using thematic analysis to identify patterns related to procedural compliance, rights&#13;
awareness, institutional constraints, and experiential outcomes. The findings reveal a&#13;
complex relationship between formal human rights awareness and practical&#13;
enforcement. While police officers demonstrated familiarity with constitutional and&#13;
international human rights standards, implementation during the post-arrest phase was&#13;
uneven and mediated by institutional culture, resource limitations, and operational&#13;
pressures. Suspects reported experiences ranging from procedural compliance and&#13;
respectful treatment to prolonged detention, coercive practices, and perceived&#13;
psychological intimidation. The study identifies a significant gap between normative&#13;
training and practical application, highlighting structural and organizational factors that&#13;
shape rights outcomes beyond individual officer knowledge. The study concludes that&#13;
post-arrest human rights protection within the Kasoa Central East Police Command&#13;
cannot be assessed solely on the basis of formal legal compliance or training exposure.&#13;
Rather, it is influenced by institutional capacity, supervisory mechanisms, enforcement&#13;
orientation, and everyday police-suspect interactions. The research recommends&#13;
strengthening practice-oriented human rights training, enhancing supervisory&#13;
accountability at the command level, improving custodial infrastructure, and&#13;
reinforcing independent oversight mechanisms to ensure consistent rights protection.
